A large, dark brown ring-binder album, likely bound in faux leather, housing a collection of Royal Mail First Day Covers. The album features gold embossed text “Royal Mail First Day Covers” on its exterior. Inside, clear plastic sleeves protect numerous individual First Day Covers, each featuring a specific British stamp issue cancelled on its initial release date. The visible postmarks predominantly date from approximately 2006 to 2010. Most covers are addressed to “Mrs Susan Lane, 22 Chiltern Drive, Ackworth, PONTEFRACT, West Yorkshire, WF7 7DW.” The collection covers a diverse range of modern British philatelic themes, including “England: A British Journey,” “Brunel,” “Ice Age Animals,” “Harry Potter,” “Abolition of the Slave Trade,” “Dunkirk,” “Classic Carry On and Hammer Films,” and “Olympic Games.”
