General Sale - 1st September 2025
A collection of four Chinese blue and white porcelain wares, dating to the 19th Century. The group comprises a lidded ginger jar, an open-top jar, and two small bowls. Each piece is decorated in a traditional East Asian style, featuring white floral and stylized motifs against a deep cobalt blue ground. The lidded ginger jar and the open jar exhibit extensive white blossom patterns, consistent with Prunus or cherry blossom motifs. The open jar further includes a band of raised white dot embellishments near its rim. The two small bowls are decorated with concentric roundels; one prominently features the Chinese character “壽” (Shou, meaning longevity) in the center, surrounded by other stylized symbols. The inverted bowl displays a four-character mark on its unglazed base.
