A vintage DRAWCO Bentwood Steamer Trunk, featuring a dark brown, possibly canvas or treated fabric exterior with steel banding, corner protectors, and hardware. The utilitarian design includes three front latches, with the central one retaining a hanging metal loop. The interior is lined with a plaid paper or fabric and includes a partial internal tray. Visible markings identify it as a ‘DRAWCO’ TRUNK ‘FITTED WITH BRITISH ALL STEEL HOOPS’ (Pat. No. 416131). Handwritten addresses for “Ms. E. Featherstone” and “A. Featherstone, Esq.” of Howden le Wear, Co. Durham are present. An internal letterhead from ‘J. ECCLELLS Sailmakers’ of Wroxham, Norfolk, dated July 3rd, 1964, is also affixed.
