A vintage enamelled 1942 British Farthing coin pendant. The pendant features a mid-20th-century British farthing coin, mounted in a reeded, silver-toned metal mount with a dual-loop bail at the top. One side displays a gold-toned wren and the text ‘1942 FARTHING’ against a cream-yellow enameled or resin background. The reverse side presents a gold-toned profile portrait of King George VI, encircled by the Latin inscription ‘GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP’ (George VI, by the Grace of God, King of all Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India), set against a black enameled or resin background. An accompanying modern British ‘TEN PENCE’ coin, depicting three lions passant guardant, is shown for scale.
