This lot comprises four vintage/antique hand saws, including three backsaws of varying sizes and one larger tapering handsaw. Each item features a wooden handle, likely hardwood, fastened to a steel blade. The backsaws are characterized by a reinforcing spine along the top edge of the blade. Some blades are protected by simple wooden guards secured with cord. Faint, indistinct impressed markings, possibly a manufacturer’s name such as ‘SPEAR & JACKSON,’ are barely discernible on one backsaw handle, but no other clear or translatable text is fully legible on the items themselves.
