An African Maiden wood sculpture, depicting a kneeling or seated female figure of apparent African-inspired design, balancing a carved vessel on her head. The figure is bare-chested and wears a single gold-tone hoop earring in her left ear. The vessel features carved geometric or abstract patterns. Constructed from dark, possibly ebonized, wood. There are no visible manufacturer’s marks or inscriptions.
