This frames a central gold-toned shield, which is engraved with the diagonal initials ‘N.S.F.A.’ and two triangular motifs. The reverse displays a set of English hallmarks, including a lion passant indicating sterling silver, an anchor for the Birmingham assay office, and a date letter consistent with 1925, along with an indistinct maker’s mark.
