A pair of 1960s Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Drivers’ Award Medallions. Each circular medallion features a central green enamel triangle with a silver numeral, “5” on one and “7” on the other. The central design is encircled by engraved text reading: “THE ROYAL SOCIETY FOR THE SAFE DRIVING AWARD SCHEME” and “NATIONAL PREVENTION OF ACCIDENTS DRIVERS’ AWARD.” One medallion exhibits a silver-toned, somewhat tarnished finish, identified by an accompanying paper label as “DIAMOND CUT HALL MARKED SILVER RHODIUM PLATED.” The second medallion has a distinct copper-toned appearance. The medallions are presented in a rectangular, hinged box with a dark green flocked exterior and a cream-colored satin-lined interior.
