Antiques, Collectables & Vintage. (14% Buyers Commission)
A collection of British Dance Band 78 RPM records, primarily black shellac discs, also including some 45 RPM vinyl records. The collection is housed within a mix of original paper sleeves and generic inserts. Visible branding on sleeves and record labels includes “DECCA SUPREME RECORDS,” “REX RECORDS,” “COLUMBIA,” “His Master’s Voice,” and “Melodisc,” with one label noting “RECORDED IN TRINIDAD.” Many sleeves feature Art Deco-inspired graphics, with additional visible text such as “MADE IN ENGLAND” and “THE LONDON RHYTHM-KING.” The records are stored in two vintage portable carrying cases, likely constructed from wood or sturdy cardboard with faux leather coverings and metal hardware, and a corrugated cardboard box. A loose printed document titled “The Musical Courier,” referencing “The ‘Brahms’ Symphonies,” is also present.
