A vintage-style wooden globe bar or drinks cabinet, attributed to Zoffoli’s Dedalo model. The piece is constructed with turned wooden legs and base, supporting a paper or parchment-covered globe. The globe’s exterior features a historical world map with Latin annotations such as “OCEANUS ATLANTICUS” and decorative illustrations including ships and sea monsters. The globe opens on a brass hinge to reveal an internal compartment with a burlwood-effect veneer, designed to hold bottles and glassware. The interior of the globe dome displays constellations and zodiac signs with Latin names such as “TAURUS” and “GEMINI.” The upper rim of the base features astrological zodiac symbols alongside Italian calendar months, including “GENNAIO” (January) and “DICEMBRE” (December). A lower circular shelf is adorned with an inlaid compass rose design, and the entire unit rests on brass castors.
