A set of five British sterling silver tablespoons, crafted in the Old English or Fiddle pattern. Each spoon features a cursive ‘D’ monogram engraved on the terminal. Hallmarks visible on the reverse of one handle include a maker’s mark ‘WG’ (likely for William Gough or William Eley & William Fearn), a crowned leopard’s head for the London assay office, a lion passant indicating sterling silver standard, a capital ‘U’ date letter for the year 1815, and a duty mark depicting a sovereign’s head facing right (George III).
