A German States, Baden, Badischer Militär Vereins-Verband Veterans Medal, dating from circa 1914-1933. This ornate, gilded yellow metal medal or badge features a central oval motif with a stylized ‘S’ or swirling monogram, surmounted by a crown, and with decorative scrolling elements and a detailed base. It is suspended from a multi-striped ribbon in red, black, yellow/gold, and white. Inscriptions are clearly visible on the ribbon, reading “Für Treue im Kriege” (For Loyalty in War) and “Wählet Hindenburg!” (Elect Hindenburg!). The reverse of the medal shows a pin attachment. This item is identified as a German WW1 Veterans Members Medal.
