This ornate sterling silver footed bowl, also known as a tazza, features extensive repoussé and chased decoration. The design incorporates stylized foliate and floral motifs, which adorn both the pedestal base and the body of the bowl. Further embellishment is provided by four applied decorative ornaments positioned around the bowl’s circumference. Visible hallmarks confirm its origin from the London assay office, with the lion passant guaranteeing sterling silver quality, and the date letter ‘U’ indicating the year 1895. The maker’s mark is obscured.
