General Auction including Gold, Silver & Cars ( ONLY 14% COMMISSION )
A group of six English sterling silver condiment shakers of varied forms, including baluster, ovoid, and octagonal shapes, some featuring decorative cabriole-style feet. The pieces exhibit styling consistent with the late 19th to early 20th century. The material is confirmed as sterling silver by visible hallmarks on at least two items: one octagonal shaker bears the Lion Passant (sterling standard), an Anchor (Birmingham assay office), and the date letter ‘S’, while another piece displays the maker’s mark ‘MNWE’, the Lion Passant, and the date letter ‘M’. A white paper tag with “1927” is attached to one shaker.
