A collection of four vintage costume necklaces, dating from the mid-20th century, circa 1950s-1970s. The lot comprises a variety of styles and materials. One necklace features opaque olive green plastic or glass beads in ribbed, round, and geometric shapes, interspersed with faux pearls and gold-toned metal spacers. Another design incorporates spherical beads with black and white/silver stripes, or black with swirling gold, green, and blue patterns, also separated by gold-toned spacers. Two further necklaces consist of clear, faceted glass or crystal beads, with one strand exhibiting an aurora borealis finish, consistent with styles sometimes attributed to makers such as Vendome. The general aesthetic, including bead types and finishes, aligns with vintage Japanese costume jewelry from the period. A decorative, stylized “S” or swan-like charm is present on one necklace; however, no legible manufacturer’s marks or text are apparent on any clasps or components across the collection.
