A lidded Chinese porcelain ginger jar, hand-painted in the Moriage style. The ovoid body is surmounted by a domed lid with a gilt finial and rests on a flaring foot. It is extensively decorated with vibrant polychrome overglaze enamels and gilding on a pale green crackled glaze ground. The main body features two reserves depicting figures in traditional attire within a landscape, flanked by intricate scrollwork and floral motifs. The lid and base feature complementary patterns accented with raised enamel dots. The base bears a four-character red seal mark, 中國製造 (Zhōngguó zhìzào), which translates to “Made in China.”
