A vintage banjo style aneroid barometer and thermometer, presented as a wall-mounted combination weather instrument. The piece features a shaped, stained hardwood plaque adorned with carved sunburst motifs at its top and bottom. Two decorative, possibly painted, sailing ship designs flank the central thermometer. The aneroid barometer is set within a brass-toned bezel and features a white dial indicating weather from “STORMY” to “VERY DRY” and pressure readings from 26 to 31. The dial is marked “Aneroid Barometer” and “MADE IN ENGLAND”. The mercury thermometer displays a Fahrenheit scale ranging from approximately 40 to 110, with specific markers for “BLOOD HEAT,” “SUMR HEAT” (Summer Heat), “TEMPE RATE” (Temperate), and “FREEZ” (Freezing).
