A collection of British Royal Mail First Day Covers. The covers are housed in a dark reddish-brown faux-leather ring-binder album, titled “Royal Mail First Day Covers” in gold script on the front. The album contains numerous clear plastic sleeves, each holding a philatelic first day cover featuring commemorative stamps, an illustrated envelope, and a circular postmark. The covers primarily date from the early 2000s, approximately 2003-2012. Visible themes include “Pond Life, ” “Nobel Prizes, ” “Christmas 2003,” “The Lord of the Rings, ” “London 2012,” “Motorcycles, ” and “Prince William.” Many covers bear the consistent address of “Mrs Susan Lane” in West Yorkshire. Some covers feature Welsh language, specifically “Cymru – Wales” and “Ywysog William.”
