This single-light candlestick is crafted from patinated cast metal, likely bronze, in a classical or Baroque revival style. It features a standing putto figure supporting the candle cup, mounted on a round polished stone plinth, likely marble. The plinth in turn rests on an ornate, scrolled base incorporating figural elements. The metal exhibits a dark, aged patina with areas of wear and rubbing, consistent with age and use. While no markings are visible on the item itself, a label on the table in front identifies it as ‘audubon’s 1900’s, LOT # 143, Auction 001’, providing potential context for its approximate period.
