A three-piece Hofbauer ‘The Byrdes Collection’ German lead crystal set, comprising a large footed vase/compote, a smaller footed bowl, and a handled bell, all presented on a mirrored tray. Each item is crafted from clear lead crystal with a vibrant ruby red flashed or cased overlay. Intricate intaglio designs depicting birds and foliage have been expertly cut through the red layer, revealing the clear glass beneath. The clear crystal portions are heavily faceted with traditional geometric patterns, including diamond, star, and fan cuts. The vase and bowl feature scalloped rims. This set embodies classic European craftsmanship.
