General Sale - 1st September 2025
A circular aneroid barometer, likely dating to the early 20th century, encased in dark wood, possibly mahogany or walnut, featuring a decorative, scalloped top. The brass-toned dial, protected by a glass cover, displays pressure readings from ’28’ to ’31’ inches of mercury and weather indicators including ‘Stormy,’ ‘Rain,’ ‘Changeable,’ ‘Fair,’ and ‘Very Dry,’ accented with a decorative fleur-de-lis. Two hands are present on the dial, one for indicating pressure and one for manual setting. The reverse is fitted with a brass hanging bracket and a central adjustment point.
