A pair of Art Deco-style sculptural figures, ‘Ring of Hope’ and ‘Dance at Dawn’, designed and modelled by Carl Payne for Coalport, rendered in patinated bronze or bronze-finished metal. The ‘Ring of Hope’ figure depicts a dynamic female form balancing on a sphere with flowing drapery, while ‘Dance at Dawn’ features a female form in a dance-like pose with sweeping drapery. Both pieces exhibit a consistent, warm dark patination, and each is mounted on a multi-tiered, dark polished stone base, likely marble. The figures are stylized, consistent with the Art Deco aesthetic.
