An antique cast brass wall-mounted bell, commonly identified by its Latin inscription ‘VOCEM MEAM AUDI QUI ME TANGIT’ (Whoever touches me will hear my voice). The ornate bracket features a central winged figure, possibly angelic, holding a staff, from which a dragon or griffin-like creature extends horizontally. The bell, suspended from a decorative ring, is richly adorned with bands of classical-style vegetal motifs and animal figures. Prominently visible raised text on the bell includes ‘LEO’ (Latin for ‘lion’) and ‘PELICANVS’ (Latin for ‘pelican’), directly correlating with animal motifs on its body. The piece is cast from patinated brass.
