A vintage Chinese Jingdezhen porcelain ginger jar with lid, decorated with vibrant polychrome enamel featuring a pheasant-like bird on a branch amidst floral and foliate motifs. The jar has a matching lid with a teal band and a patterned rim. The base is marked in red overglaze with ‘中国景德镇’ (China Jingdezhen), ‘MADE IN CHINA’, and ‘F R =’.
Accompanied by a pair of Hilkinson Mercury 20×80 binoculars. This large, black-textured, center-focus optical instrument bears the inscriptions ‘Hilkinson MERCURY FULLY COATED’ and ’20×80 Field 3.5°’.
