A vintage sterling silver, garnet, and marcasite cross necklace. The silver-tone metal necklace features a decorative Latin cross pendant. The chain is a Figaro style, secured by a lobster clasp stamped with “925” and “ITALY,” indicating sterling silver and its country of origin. The ornate cross pendant is set with numerous round or oval-cut garnet stones and numerous small marcasite stones, arranged in a mix of bezel or prong settings and pavé-style settings. The reverse of the cross exhibits an openwork design.
