An antique Alexanderwerk medical studio personal scale, also known as a doctors scale. Constructed of painted cast iron, it features a raised, diamond-patterned weighing platform and a circular dial set into a rectangular base. The dial displays numbers from 0-19 and 0-280, and is visibly marked ‘FOREIGN’ and ‘DRG. No.’ (Deutsches Reichs-Gebrauchsmuster) with partially visible numbers below. The base includes a decorative drawer facade with a knob and sits on four small feet.
