An Italian Florentine inlaid musical table, likely mid-to-late 20th century, designed as a jewelry or trinket box. The hinged lid features a marquetry-style top with a central panel of elaborate scrollwork and floral motifs in contrasting lighter woods against a darker ground, framed by decorative borders. The interior is lined with red velvet or felt and divided into multiple compartments. The table stands on four curved, cabriole-style legs. A visible metal winding key on the underside operates a ‘SWISS MUSICAL MOVEMENT’ by ‘MATTHEY,’ which plays ‘Dottor Zivago’ (Doctor Zhivago). The underside also has ‘000’ stamped into the wood. The overall style is decorative and traditional.
