This lot comprises three distinct commemorative medals, each housed within a red-lined presentation box. The largest medal is a patinated bronze medallion depicting a classical or allegorical figure strenuously pulling a rope through a stylized landscape, identified through web intelligence as Robert Tait McKenzie’s ‘The Joy of Effort,’ dating to 1914. The top-left medal, crafted from a yellowish metal resembling brass or gilt bronze, features the inscription “IVYBRIDGE COLLEGE” and “SOUTH MOOR” surrounding a landscape motif.
