A Charles & George Asprey Edwardian sterling silver inkstand, comprising an oval, footed tray and a faceted clear glass inkwell with a hinged metal lid. The silver tray bears multiple hallmarks, including the crowned leopard’s head for the London assay office, the lion passant standard mark for sterling silver, a duty mark depicting a monarch’s head, and an indistinct maker’s mark, consistent with Charles & George Asprey. The glass inkwell features a multi-faceted design and is topped with a plain metal lid.
